Technorati

I have watched the video, which I have to say is much more enjoyable and well done than the one for Del.icio.us. On the other hand, I'm not terribly interested in reading blogs all day. Call me old-fashioned, but I would still rather curl up with a good book. I'm on to the next 23 Things...

Del.icio.us

I have created a Del.icio.us account and put it on my toolbar at home on Mozilla. So far I have tagged several articles on the environment and global warming. There seems to be a lot out there claiming that global warming is a hoax. I did not tag those articles! In any event, I found it very easy to use Del.icio.us, and was able to easily drag what I needed to my bookmarks toolbar. We'll see if I continue to use it for anything after this exercise...

Having fun with Meez

Well, it took quite a while to export this lovely picture, and it looks as if the green eye shadow that I chose was lost in the process! Yes, sad to say, I chose a library Avatar with book in hand in the stacks. It's in the blood. On the other hand I haven't been this thin, this young in years, or have ever looked this good!

The Generator Blog was a real hoot! I was able to enjoy seeing my name in lights, create new Danielle Steel titles, as well as fractured country music lyrics. Hours went by, my husband went to the store and returned, and I was still glued to the computer. Enough already.

I'm composing my list of books on the LibraryThing.

I've got to get back to a real life before I take root in this chair....

Not Caring Much Anymore....

Well, I don't know about the rest of you out there, but I'm not caring much anymore! I created my Bloglines Newsreader account, for all of the good that it will do me. Frankly, it's not as if I have the time to use it at work, and at home I have everything neatly arranged the way I like it on Mozilla Firefox. I have my links arranged on the left hand side of the page on a sidebar, and it's very easy to use. I am tiring of Maryland 23 Things, have a digital camera, and don't care about the Wii. The weeks are not user-friendly. Perhaps the heat is making me grumpy...

My Monday House Disaster

I'm thrilled to share this lovely photo of my house with you. I'm even more thrilled that I was able to actually able to upload it and post it on my Blog.

This is an actual tree in my roof that fell this past April, and yes, I was home at the time. Needless to say, I did not make it work that day. I have been living with workmen ever since. Currently the painters are finishing up. Carpeting has been ordered, and I will meet with the "closet-system" man on Monday. The bathroom will have all new tile installed since the tree took out a wall.

The upside is that my mother-in-law has been unable to stay with us. Every cloud has a silver lining!

I'm on to my next 23 Things...

Things Technological

Exploring Flickr was fun! I signed up for a Yahoo account and now all I have to do is run around and take some pictures to upload for all to see. I have a lovely picture of my daughter in a sari, for she just came back from a three week trip in Sri Lanka, but I don't think she wants to be on my site. That's on my e-mail and it looks very easy to import. I also looked the travel planner for travel ideas, as we are going to Nova Scotia at the end of September for two weeks. There was a lot there and I'll revisit it when I have more time.

We just got Skype in our house which is great. We can talk to our son, who lives in Canada, for free! We frequently speak to my sister-in-law in London, and my daughter takes advantage by calling her college room mate who lives in Sri Lanka. If anyone has friends and family living far and wide, I would highly recommend it!

My First Blog

I've never blogged before, and I must say this is quite exciting! I'm sure that everyone will be flocking to my blog to read my pearls of wisdom. Can you tell that I am a die hard Jimmy Buffett fan? We go to his concerts every year though we draw the line at wearing grass skirts and shark hats. My children are embarrassed. I will now attempt to save and register this blog. Wish me luck!

PS- I just added this lovely picture of palm trees. What's Jimmy Buffett without the sway of palm trees, sand, surf, & sun?
